Grace Parsons is in her twentieth year of teaching orchestra.  She has spent her career in Fulton and Gwinnett Counties, in both public and private schools, teaching elementary, middle, and high school orchestras.  Throughout her career, Ms. Parsons’s groups have consistently received superior ratings at Large Group Performance Evaluations and competitions such as Southern Star.  She has been a clinician for honor orchestra groups throughout the Metro Atlanta area.

Ms. Parsons is a member of the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) and American String Teachers Association (ASTA).  She has presented professional development sessions at the GMEA Conference.  Ms. Parsons served two terms as treasurer for the Georgia ASTA, served as a Lead Teacher in GCPS, organizer for the District 13 Honor Orchestra, and is currently the director of the Georgia ASTA Camp.  

Ms. Parsons holds a Bachelor degree in Music Education from Georgia State University and a Master’s in Music Education from University of Georgia.  She currently resides in Duluth with her husband and two children, and loves to go to Target right down the road (where she runs into her students all the time - please say hello if you see me!)
